Hot Beds present “See Right Through”
Out May 4th as a free download through tourdates.co.uk/hot-beds
Born out of a relentless urge to write about love, lust and loss in London Andy quirk met Hannah Brown through Myspace in early 2008. From there on in the duo worked tirelessly to manufacture melancholy anthems for both dance floors and dark nights with the aid of grunge guitars and electronica inspired by classic goth and modern four to the floor pounders.
Within months Hot Beds were spotted by well known indie label Filthy Little Angels and appeared on several of their releases, gaining favourable press coverage and radio play. By the end of 2008 Hot Beds had released several downloads through Tourdates.co.uk and sat at No.2 in their download chart for the whole of December. This was only bettered by their placings in the Alien Acid Unsigned Chart for the year where they appeared at 1, 5 and 7.
Shunning the traditional approach to finding a label for their album Hot Beds chose to record, release it themselves - with production duties falling to close friend Reuben Thompson (586/The Patty Winters Show). "I Smell Burning" is digitally distributed through CDBaby and will appear on iTunes/Napster/Spotify/etc in June. The CD is sold direct through the website and comes in a hand manufactured, stenciled and sprayed 7" style numbered case. It is available now.
“See Right Through” is taken from the album and is released as a free download on Monday May 4th through Tourdates.co.uk. It can also be streamed from the band’s Myspace and through LastFM.
